Refund Policy

Last updated September 16, 2026

Globeelink refunds eSIMs within 21 days of issue, as long as the eSIM has not activated. Refunds go back to your original payment method, minus a processing fee. A few situations are treated differently — advance bookings, incompatible devices, and network failures on our side. Those are listed below. If something here does not answer your question, message Globeebot.

1. The 21-day window

When you buy a Globeelink eSIM, the QR code is sent to you straight away for most plans — or shortly before your trip if you booked more than 30 days ahead. Either way, once your eSIM has been issued you have 21 days to request a refund, as long as it has not activated.

An eSIM activates when it first connects to a network, or automatically 30 days after it is issued, whether or not you have connected by then. After day 21 a refund is no longer possible. That buffer gives us time to void the eSIM with the network operator before auto-activation triggers. Once it activates, we have been charged for your data plan and that cost cannot be reversed.

2. How the refund works

Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used, minus a processing fee.

A $2.00 processing fee applies per eSIM — or half of what you paid for it, whichever is less.

What that means in practice

  • A plan that cost £10.00 is refunded at £8.50 — the standard £1.50 fee.

  • A plan that cost £2.00 is refunded at £1.00 — the fee is capped at half.

  • The fee never takes more than half of what you paid, so there is no purchase too small to refund.

If your order included more than one eSIM, the fee applies to each eSIM you refund. Refunding two eSIMs from the same order means two fees. You can refund some and keep others — they are handled individually.

The fee covers costs we are charged by our payment processor and the network operator when the eSIM is issued. Neither is recoverable, even if you never use the eSIM.

Card refunds usually take up to 14 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.

3. Currency

Your refund comes back in the currency you paid in, and the fee is charged in that same currency. Nothing is converted at any point.

The processing fee is set separately for each currency we sell in. The amounts are not conversions of one another — each is a round figure in its own currency:

  • British pounds — £1.50 per eSIM

  • US dollars — $2.00 per eSIM

If you paid in pounds, your refund and your fee are both in pounds — even if you are viewing the site in another currency later.

4. Situations treated differently

If you bought more than 30 days before your trip

Some plans use just-in-time setup: when you buy well ahead, we hold the order and do not issue the eSIM with the network operator until 30 days before your trip. If your plans change while the order is still pending — meaning you have not received your QR code — you get a full refund with no fee, because we have not yet been charged by the network operator.

Once your QR code is delivered, the standard rules above apply.

If your device turns out to be incompatible

Checking that your phone supports eSIM, and is not locked to a carrier, is something to do before you buy — our compatibility checker takes about ten seconds.

If you do buy and the eSIM will not set up on your device, tell us within 21 days and we will refund it under the standard rules above, including the fee.

If the failure is ours

If your eSIM fails because of a confirmed problem on our side, and you tell us while you are travelling, you get a full refund with no fee — whether or not the eSIM had activated.

If you used some of the data

Once an eSIM has activated we cannot refund it, including where a trip is cut short. We are charged for the full plan at activation and that cost does not come back to us.

If something has genuinely gone wrong, message Globeebot and ask for a person. We look at these case by case.

5. How to request a refund

Message Globeebot from the website, WhatsApp, LINE or Telegram, or reply to any email we have sent you. Tell us which eSIM and, if you can, why — it helps us fix whatever caused it.

We will tell you the exact amount before processing anything.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the version on this page applies to requests made while it is published. Questions are handled fastest through Globeebot on our website.
