What happens when my plan duration ends?
Last updated October 14, 2026
Your plan ends and your eSIM stops providing data. On a plan that supports it, you have about 30 days to top up and revive the same eSIM — with your unused data carried over. Otherwise, you'd buy a fresh plan.
What happens at the duration limit
The eSIM stops providing data, and your phone shows the line with no service.
Can I top up after it ends?
On a network that supports it, yes: for about 30 days after your plan ends you can top up to bring the same eSIM back online, and the data you hadn't used carries over. Your dashboard shows "Top up to revive" when this is available.
If your plan can't be revived
Some plans run on networks where each eSIM is a single fixed plan. When one of those ends, it can't be topped up or revived — you'd buy a fresh plan. Your dashboard shows which case applies.
Why doesn't unused data roll over to a new plan?
A plan's data is provisioned with the network for that plan; it doesn't transfer to a separate, new plan you buy later. (The 30-day revive above is different — it brings back the same eSIM with its unused data, not a new plan.)
After the revive window
Once the revive window passes (or on a plan that can't be revived), the eSIM is finished and you'd buy a new one.
