No. Globeelink plans are data-only — they give you mobile internet, not a local phone number. You keep your own number for calls and texts, and use apps for any calls over your travel data.
A Globeelink plan provides data — internet for your phone in your destination. It doesn't come with a local number and isn't used for traditional calls or SMS. That keeps plans simple, cheaper, and quick to set up.
So how do I make calls and send messages?
Calls and texts on your own number keep working through your home SIM (subject to roaming charges).
For calls and messages over your travel data, use apps you already have — WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, Signal.
What about a local number for bookings or deliveries?
A data-only eSIM won't provide one. A messaging-app number or your home number is usually accepted, but worth checking before you rely on it.
