How do I know my eSIM is working when I land?

Last updated October 14, 2026

Look at your phone's status bar. You should see a signal indicator next to the Globeelink line name, and your data should work without you doing anything.

When your plane lands and your phone leaves airplane mode, it scans for networks, detects the one your eSIM is configured for, and connects automatically. You should see signal bars next to the line name, a data symbol (4G/5G/LTE), and working mobile data. In Settings the line should show a network name instead of "No Service."

How long does this take?

It varies by network and phone. If nothing has happened after a restart, follow the checks in "My eSIM isn't connecting in my destination". Signal is best outdoors or near a window.
