Should I buy one big plan or several small ones for a multi-country trip?

For 3+ countries in one region, a regional plan is usually simpler. For trips spanning regions, or where you'll spend most of your time in one country, separate country plans usually give better value and coverage.
Choose one regional plan when
Your trip covers 3+ countries within the same region.
You'll spend a few days in each with no clear "main" destination.
You'd rather not set up new eSIMs as you cross borders.
Choose separate country plans when
Your trip covers countries in different regions (no single regional plan covers both).
You'll spend most of your time in one country with a short side-trip.
You want the best possible network in each country.
Your phone can hold multiple eSIM profiles, so a mixed approach works fine. Whichever you pick, set each one up before you fly (you can set up several at once); each starts separately when you connect in its first country.
